FreeTxt-Vi Research Project

FreeTxt-Vi extends the Welsh-English FreeTxt toolkit to support bilingual Vietnamese-English survey and questionnaire analysis. It enables the automatic processing, summarisation, and sentiment analysis of civic and service-oriented feedback.

• Extend FreeTxt’s architecture for Vietnamese support
• Analyse LLM performance on bilingual text responses
• Integrate Vietnamese NLP tools (e.g. PhoBERT, VnCoreNLP)
• Curate bilingual datasets and evaluate model outputs
• Create user-facing guides and visualisation tools

Duration: 12 months (Starting May 2025)
